Jakarta Green School Training

A program that awaited by the school community has come back amidst us, that is Jakarta Green School (JGS) Program. This program was aimed to guide school community about sorting waste, 3R comprehension and technical to make compost.

 

The differences between JGS years ago and JGS 2011 are about Trash Police. These 10 Trash Police are expected to be Green School’s assistant in school. Their task is to watch over activities of environmental awareness in school, reprimand friends who littering, and campaign the Green School program.

 

The Jakarta Green School’s training is held in BPLHD DKI Jakarta office, Nyi Ageng Serang building, at Tuesday, October 18, 2011. This training started with a speech from Jakarta Green School team. “With this Jakarta Green School Program’s training, I hope students in elementary and junior high school more care to their environment,” said Sasa Sari Tobing.

 

The materials from this training include giving motivation for teacher and student, opening perception, and change the mindset of the participants regarding environmental awareness in schools. In the motivation session, the participants are hoped that the campaign and be a leader for JGS program in their schools.

 

Furthermore, this training is filled by technical to make compost and how to make compost with various techniques, such as biopp, takakura, and so on. The participants are expected to implement what was obtained during training in their schools and can socialize it to other people in the school.

 

All participants are very enthusiastic. It can be seen from the many questions. One of the questions is from SMPN 49’s student, who asked about the role of Trash Police in school. “Jakarta Green School program is very interesting, and I hope this program can be held every year,” said Badar from SMPN 258, East Jakarta.
